NEXT 14th Police District- 1433- April 22, 6:30pm 1434- April 28, 6:30pm caps.014district@chicagopolice.org NEWS RELEASE: West Side Man Charged in Armed Vehicular Hijacking Offender: Chauncey Jordan, 19 Charge: Two (2) felony counts: Vehicular Hijacking - Agg - Firearm Narrative: Chauncey Jordan was arrested on March 18, 2021 at approximately 10 a.m. in the 2600 block of S. California and charged in the early morning vehicular hijacking that occurred on January 18, 2021 in the 1700 block of W. Armitage (14th District). In that incident, he displayed a firearm and took a 44-year-old man's vehicle but was unable to drive it due to the emergency brake being engaged. Jordan then proceeded to take a Toyota Camry from a 45-year-old woman at gunpoint before fleeing the scene. No additional information is available at this time.
