From the Desk of the Lincoln Park Library 1150 W. Fullerton

Public service hours at the Lincoln Park Branch have expanded to 7 hours per day. They are as follows:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12 to 7 p.m.

  • Fridays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

COVID-19 specifics remain as follows:

  • Patron capacity is limited to 25 persons at a time, and seating capacity is reduced. Face masks are required for ages 3 and up. We strongly suggest that you limit your visits to 1 hour maximum.

  • A reduced number of public computers are available for use. Socially distanced computer assistance (6 feet apart) is available for a maximum of 10 minutes.

  • In-person reference assistance through the plexiglass screen at the Circulation Desk is limited to 10 minutes.

  • Library cash operations are currently suspended. Patrons are currently allowed to print up to 25 free pages per day.

  • For questions specific to the Lincoln Park Branch, please call us during our public service hours at (312) 744-1926. You will receive faster service by phone than by email.

Online Services

We encourage all of you to continue placing Holds on library materials and coming in for pickup, and to try using some of the online resources. To access eBooks and Online Resources, please log in to the Library's website with your library card number and PIN, which is usually your zip code.

Our regular adult programs continue to take place on Zoom.

Knitting Circle

Lincoln Park's Knitting Circle will run on Tuesday evenings through April 27. Knitters are invited to bring their current projects and knit together on Zoom. Sessions take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

If you're interested in learning to knit, but don't have knitting needles or yarn, a "Knitting 101" Grab-N-Go craft kit for adults is available! Please ask at the Circulation Desk for details.

Blood Drive with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois

On Tuesday, April 20, the Lincoln Park Branch will host a blood drive with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois from 12 to 5 p.m. The blood drive will take place in a mobile bus parked along the south side of Fullerton Avenue, directly across the street from the Lincoln Park Branch. Online Programming for Children

Our popular Mother Goose on the Loose Story Times for young children take place on Zoom on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Kids' Cluefinder Book Club

Lincoln Park is offering a mystery-themed book club for kids age 5 to 8 on the first Thursday of each month. Meetings take place on Zoom from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. To register for April's event, please click on the link below:

Grab-N-Go Kits

Grab-N-Go craft kits for children are available! These are designed for a variety of ages, from preschool on up. Generally, there are 2 to 3 crafts at a time to choose from. Supplies of each kit are limited, and they are on a first come, first served basis.
