Greenview, Fullerton to Altgeld

Tentative schedule for the week of June 22 (All field activities are weather dependent) -

​

 

• The new 8” ductile iron water main installation has been completed on  Greenview from Altgeld  to Fullerton. 

• All PDs (Private Drains) on the east side of Greenview have been completed and replaced in accordance with IEPA requirements. 

• Approximately 99% of the overall piping work has been completed. 

• The Fire Hydrant at 2415 was installed. 

• The two-day chlorination process for the new 8” water main was performed from 6/17/26 through 6/18/26. 

• The tree at 2415 N Greenview needs to be removed to facilitate the water main transfer. The alley entrance will be closed when the tree removal team arrives.

• Depending on chlorination’s results, crews will start service transfers to the new water main. 

 

 

In addition to contacting our office with questions, residents can look for a Water Department supervisor on the street wearing a white hard hat to have questions answered immediately.
