Note from Alderman

New measures have been undertaken at the United Center vaccine site after federal, state, county, and city officials announced a shift in eligibility for the United Center Federal Mass Vaccination Center in order to ensure equity in vaccine distribution and that the people and communities most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic have access to the vaccine. The modified guidance for the site is detailed below.

Is your child interested in poetry or spending time writing stories during the pandemic? Illinois Humanities, in partnership with the Poetry Foundation, Brooks Permissions, and the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, is currently accepting submissions from youth in grades k-12 for the Fifth Annual Gwendolyn Brooks Youth Poetry Awards. The deadline for submissions is Monday, May 31, 2021.

Included below is information on the latest CAPS meetings and carjacking arrest update, Logan Square Gas outage update and some neighborhood events coming up. If you live on or near Armitage or Lincoln, please read below for the upcoming water main replacements. These streets, like many others, have mains dating back to the 1890's and are the latest mains that need to be replaced.

Quick reminder that this weekend is Daylight Savings. Before you head to bed on Saturday, set those clocks one hour forward!
